Only real link to the first series is the French copper and a brief mention of boy from series one. First episode was promising although you have to concentrate the whole time.

Good series, although as some have said you really do have to pay attention in order to make sure you know what part of the time-line you are watching. BTW am I right in thinking that Eve has been pregnant twice now? First baby she was a surrogate for her sister and then pregnant after the affair?? If not then some of the dialogue between her and Gemma was a bit confusing.

I think the driller killer has fallen for the fake Alice as they've got a kid. He forced her to lie and say it was the butcher, but the butcher's wife has got something to do with it, which we will find out next week. Wonder if the Major or whatever rank he is, could be faking his dementia (Lord Janner situation, although he wasn't as it turned out).
